Rose Minichiello

Rose Minichiello has been playing saxophone for over 17 years. Currently Rose takes piano lessons at the NCMC, because she believes it’s never too late to learn an instrument!

Rose has experience playing alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone. In college, she minored in music and performed in jazz ensembles and combos at both Mount Holyoke and Amherst College. After graduating, Rose taught general music classes at an academic summer camp in California for two seasons.

Rose now teaches fifth grade at Nantucket Intermediate School and continues to play saxophone with the community Jazz Band. She is happy to have the opportunity to be a saxophone teacher at the NCMC.

Elizabeth let me play the Red Violin after her performance! The sound was warm and it played with ease. I tried to focus on the instrument but I got completely discombobulated when I realized she had walked away leaving me with the violin. So I just kept playing! Where else in the world could that have happened? Thanks NCMC.
